Australia

Embark on a journey through space and time, through endless desert spaces, to the sources of the oldest civilization in the world.

Our website is a place where enthusiasts of Indigenous Australian art and those who are just starting their journey of discovering this heritage will find a rich source of knowledge, inspiration and fascinating stories. Aboriginal art, deeply rooted in the long history and traditions of Australia's indigenous peoples, is not only visually beautiful, but also carries a deep cultural and social message.

ARTISTS

Aborigines are undoubtedly one of the most famous but probably least known and understood peoples in the world. They have an impressive cultural tradition, but at the same time there is a huge civilizational gap separating them from us.

The culture of the First Nations of Australia is one of the last, if not the last, Paleolithic culture, the documented traces of which are at least 60,000 years old.

Indigenous Australian ART

The art of indigenous Australians is created by societies living in far-reaching isolation from Western culture, so its understanding depends on the cultural and geographical context.

Myths and ceremonies permeate all human activities, where the image is only a complement to the whole, a commentary on a larger story or event. For this reason, these works should be explained like the Bible, icons, or medieval poetry. However, it is difficult to understand the art of Indigenous Australians, both from the level of the specificity of cultural experience and due to the complex function that art has played and continues to play in their communities. Nevertheless - without memory - we can immerse ourselves in it, because the sacred residing there - beyond the core context - will almost instantly become close to us, and the aesthetic form will evoke associations with something we may already know.

The paintings from our MALA ART collection, which already includes almost a thousand works, come first-hand, directly from artists we are friends with, who are among the most important in Australia. Each painting comes with a certificate of authenticity and a description of both the artist and the subject of the presented work.

You can purchase paintings from our collection. All of them are carriers of good energy, and their aesthetic form will be an original decoration of almost any house, apartment or workplace. The collection is enriched by masks, boomerangs, spears, shields and other artifacts.
