Kathleen Martin

(1974 – 2021)

She is a very talented artist, born in Yuendumu, Northern Territory. She started painting in 1990.

Kathleen's main stories are "The Possum's Dream" and "The Kangaroo's Dream." Both are very important to the indigenous people. Possum skin coverings were an important part of Aboriginal ritual and ceremonial life. Today, the tradition continues and the covers are used in welcoming ceremonies and community events.

The paintings from our collection come first-hand, directly from artists we are friends with, who are among the most important in Australia.

Each painting comes with a certificate of authenticity along with a description of the artist, his work and a photo of his painting.
